The 7 Best Planners & Journals You Need for 2021

Hey, Charming!

Welcome to the New Year, and congratulations on making it through 2020! *cue the confetti and crowds applauding*

With the start of the new year comes new resolutions, and what better way to keep track and smash those #2021goals than with a handy dandy planner/journal. With this in mind, I've listed down a couple of my personal favourites. Let's get shopping!

1 | Mossery

Ah, Mossery, the delight of every journal avid.

Founded by Malaysian trio - Vivian Loh, Lim Jun Yuen, and Tan Xin Wei, this homegrown brand has amassed a strong, almost cult-like following for its products because of its ease of use, superb quality, and unique cover designs in collaboration with various artists such as the likes of @MEYOCO and @LIVIAFALCARU.

Each Mosssery planner includes a standard monthly planner and a personalized monogram. Keep it traditional with just your initials or rock it out to your star sign, maybe even consider a kaomoji (´• ω •`) . Besides that, you also get the option to choose between a weekly horizontal (suitable for day to day journaling and task-oriented users) or vertical (suitable for weekly journaling and time-oriented users) planner.

2 | Ana Tomy

A household name, Ana Tomy needs no special introduction.

Established in 2016, this award-winning stationery brand was birthed by local creatives Cliff, Zeejay, and Fidella to help individuals pursue a greater expression of self and creativity through means of personalized journals.

Be prepared to indulge in the brand's wide range of customizables starting from their beautifully-designed cover collection to elastic book bands, ribbon markers, and types of paper. So many decisions to make!

3 | Moleskine

My first ever journal was a Moleskine one and I loved it.

Moleskine planners are available in various sizes - XL, large, or pocket, and in daily, weekly, and monthly formats. Hardy enough to weather any climate (carried this journal through the rain and it survived) and simple enough to use, Moleskine works as a starter off-brand for the first-timer journal or planner keepers.

Another homegrown brand, Summorie's planners/journals are equal parts tasteful and functional. Each 2021 planner comes together with the year's calendar, to-do-list spread, habit tracker, yearly, monthly, and weekly planner so you can easily locate all your meetings and schedules in one little neat space.

Summorie also offers some customizable items like linen cover colours, elastic band, and personal monogram for that individual touch.

Making it into the list of personal favorites is Tabiyo. Although Tabiyo does not produce its own line, they're a great source for quality Japanese Midori and Traveler's Company planners and journals among other stationery products, directly imported from the land of the rising sun.

Things to note: Stuff on their website go pretty quickly and there are limited stocks, so always make sure you plan your purchases ahead of time.
